An adorable Therapy 'dogtor' has gone viral on social media this week, for delivering care packages to nurses amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to a recent report by the Good News Network, Loki the Rottweiler, a therapy dog for patients and staff working at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, has been delivering care packages to doctors, nurses, and other front line healthcare workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.

Loki and his owner, second-year medical student Caroline Benzel, have also been using FaceTime conversations to offer some virtual comfort and relief to the staffers.
After amassing a devoted army of fans and followers on their Facebook page, Caroline noticed that a lot of the staff at the hospital were in dire need of some self-care, so she used Loki to appeal for donations.
Loki was later able to use his cuteness to deliver so-called 'hero healing kits', containing hydrating skin lotion, boxes of tea, baby powder, chapstick, chewing gum, and moisturizer for the workers.

In a later post on Loki's Facebook page, Caroline wrote: "So far we have raised over 1,400 total kits, but are closer to +1,600 incomplete kits. The donations keep coming in!! Needless to say, we are blown away by the kindness and generosity of people.
"The hope was people would see what we are trying to do and be inspired to do the same in their respective areas, and that HAS HAPPENED! … [we have] inspired others to do similar projects in New Jersey, North Carolina, [Pennsylvania], and other parts of Maryland. [sic]"

She added: "THIS was the dream, and it is coming to fruition: not only to help frontline workers/first responders, but to inspire others to do the same in their counties and states for their respective hospitals.
"Thank you again for all the love and support shown through all of this. We wanted to show our people keeping us safe some love, and because of you, we have been able to do that. [sic]"
Well done, Loki! You're a very good boy!
