Polar bears are one of the most majestic animals on the planet, but chances to get up close and personal with them are few and far between.
However, if you're a fan of these frosty bears and want a true experience of a lifetime, then you could have it at Belgian zoo Pairi Daiza, which is offering guests the chance to sleep inches away from polar bears.
Don't worry, there's a glass screen between you and the bears!
The zoo-come-resort, which is located in the province of Hainaut, has made a name for itself because of the unique experiences on offer, but few are as impressive as the White Bear House.

If this sounds like a truly magical experience, you have two options: you can spend the night above ground watching the polar bears wander on ice caps, or below water where they will swim right up to your room window.

The resort says: "Man has been fascinated by this impressive species for centuries. Pairi Daiza offers you now the possibility to spend the night in the company of the largest land predator in the world.
"What perspective do you prefer? Do you like to see the polar bears walking around? Or would you prefer to see them swim by from the rooms with underwater view?"
The polar bear experience is set in The Land of The Cold, and hotel rooms come complete with warm wood furnishings, soft fabrics, and fake fur, and their bathrooms are kitted out with white fittings and Carrara marble surfaces with brass accessories.

Pairi Daiza says the window seat is "the perfect spot to sit and admire the wonderful view" and you can even alter the light settings in the room to suit your exact preferences.
The rooms are suitable for up to six adults and a baby, and are remarkably well-priced, with a half-board stay starting at €124 (£96) for two days/one night and access to the park is included.
