Whether it's getting rid of a zit a few hours before prom, or having to deal with an ingrown hair under your skin that's been bothering you for months, at some point you're going to have to swallow your pride, and visit a

If the name doesn't ring a bell, her videos definitely will: Dr Lee is better known as her superheroine alter ego, Dr Pimple Popper, who pops pimples, zaps zits, and slices cysts on YouTube, where her more-than-a-little-gross videos gain millions upon millions of views.
Regardless of whether Dr Lee's videos make you smile with morbid glee or make you reach for the nearest wastepaper basket to reacquaint yourself with your lunch, it was only a matter of time before she became too big for our computer screens. And wouldn't you know it: in the new year, Dr Pimple Popper will be getting her own TV show! Yay!

Addressing her 2.6 million followers on Instagram, Dr Lee broke the news to us that she'll have her own TV special, and that it would be airing on The Learning Channel starting January 3. 2017 has been a year of twists, turns and shocks, but it look as if the last 12 months had one more gift to give us.
Alongside her television show, Dr Pimple Popper is also producing a Facebook Watch series in collaboration with TLC, superbly named
This Is Zit?!, where she talks about her life, giving her viewers advice on a range of topics, including cooking tips and dating advice. Just kidding: she lacerates the hell out of some cysts. What were you expecting?
Around that, Dr Lee intends to give us a bit more background to the pimple popping by which she has made her name, promising us "a behind-the-scenes … of what I do in my office, how I go about doing it, more explanation about the types of things that I pop out, a lot of my favorite videos, a lot of my top pops — they are there just for you."
I'm especially excited about the "top pops".

Well, if you're anything like me, you've got a queasy feeling in the pit of your stomach, but if you're an avid "popholic" (as Dr Lee affectionately likes to call her fans), then this announcement will be music to your ears: be sure to catch Dr Pimple Popper on TLC, which will air at 10pm Eastern (or 9pm Central) on January 3, 2018.
I... uh, can't wait.
