I used to have a cat called Pepper who was so fat she looked a bit like a barrel on legs. Thanks to these modern times of body positivity, social justice and chia lattes, it was decided that Pepper had a thyroid problem. I think she was just greedy.
But where Pepper was clearly being fed by a neighbour, this particular pet didn't need to venture as far in order to find the mother of all meals.
Twitter user David Barrett - from Prestwick, Scotland - tweeted that his dog Bubba had managed to consume the entire Christmas turkey - before Christmas had even begun. The Chi Apso (a cross between a Chihuahua and a Lhasa Apso) was then pictured recovering on the floor.
Exasperated, David's initial tweet stated: "No chance has ma dog just scranned the whole turkey for tomorrow."

To prove what had happened, this was followed up with a picture of the well-fed dog lying on its side along with the caption: "There's the culprit, she can't move." The tweets predictably went viral and the picture of the greedy dog has more than 10,000 retweets and more than 20,000 likes. "She's the same shape as the turkey!" one commenter mused.

The gluttonous pooch left only a scrap of the turkey breast. As to whether this is because she is pure evil and wanted to taunt her captors, or whether she simply couldn't eat an entire turkey, is not yet known.
While Bubba looks like she felt no remorse, thanks to the wonders of social media, here are some dogs that actually do feel guilt.

Luckily, Bubba's owners vowed to put her on a new year's diet. While one might have thought that the incident would ruin Christmas, the family were able to get another turkey last minute. That said, I don't think they'll be so casually leaving the turkey on the kitchen counter again.
