Donald Trump's denial of global warming is long-reining. Certainly, the 45th President of the United States has continued to make his opinion clear on the future of our planet since he won the 2016 Presidential election. He once dismissed it as a "hoax" created by China to destroy American jobs, and earlier this year, he confirmed that the US will withdraw from the Paris climate agreement - ensuring that the world's second-largest generator of greenhouse gases will abandon the international imperative to address global warming. And he's done it yet again: in a tweet made on Thursday, Donald Trump insinuated that cold weather disproves climate change.
After vast swathes of the US endured severe cold and records amount of snow swept across the east coast, Donald Trump took to his favourite social media platform to assert, "In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!"

So because it's very cold in the United States, Donald Trump believes that global warming is a complete sham. It also seems that the man who is in charge of running one of the world's biggest power-houses has gotten a little confused between weather and climate. The 'weather' refers to the conditions of the atmosphere over a short period of time, and 'climate' refers to how the atmosphere shifts over a longer time-frame.
However, the internet was more than ready to show the POTUS the error of his ways, and boy, did they not hold back on throwing all the punches.
One Twitter user kept it short and sweet, writing: "You are so stupid it is painful", while another corroborated "This may be the dumbest thing that you have tweeted in 2017. And that is saying something."

For many, however, Donald Trump's latest wobble over climate change doesn't come as a surprise. Since 2011, the former Apprentice star and business mogul has published over 100 tweets about global warming, many of which show his lack of scientific knowledge in regards to the difference between the "climate" and the "weather".
In June 2014 he wrote, "The man made "climate change" that our "great" president should be focused on is of the NUCLEAR variety brought upon us because of weakness!" He then followed this tweet up with, "It's late in July and it is really cold outside in New York. Where the hell is GLOBAL WARMING??? We need some fast! It's now CLIMATE CHANGE"

I guess you can say that some people just flat-out refuse to learn the error of their ways. In this situation, however, it's clear that Donald Trump's the one who got iced. Ouch.
In related news, Barack Obama launched a thinly veiled attack on Donald Trump during an interview with Prince Harry.
