Over the last few years, it seems that there have been more remakes of old movies than there have been original productions.
Star Wars has got a shiny new reboot, Ghostbusters returned with an all-female cast, and Spider-Man seems to have had more comebacks than a book full of "your mama" jokes.
However, despite the amount of money they make, the modern recreations of old films don't always go down too well with people who consider themselves to be serious movie fans. Sure, there are some newer versions that do better than their originals - take 'IT', for example - but, considering it's usually only
good movies that get remade in the first place, the redo is rarely seen as an improvement.
So, when
Dwayne Johnson signed up to star in the recent remake of the 1995 Robin Williams classic, Jumanji, he knew to expect criticism and he was ready to fight back.
In a semi-serious Twitter war, user James McMahon called out the film for what he perceived to be a potential flaw in the plot, and made sure to @ The Rock in order to put him on blast. (By the way, if you're planning to go see the flick, this is your spoiler warning... Are we good to proceed? Ok.)
According to James, it's "bulls**t" that a character in the film is able to die in a video game, then regenerate with an item that would allow him to win said game. And, considering that nearly 2000 people have liked his tweet at the time of writing, it seems he wasn't alone in believing this.

However, it seems that James - while apparently super confident about
video game conventions - was not completely clued-up on the "JUMANJI Lore Handbook". Luckily, The Rock was around to school him. But he didn't exactly do it gently.
In a perfectly eloquent - albeit somewhat expletive - manner, the former WWE wrestler explained:
"Actually my friend, in the JUMANJI Lore Handbook, it clearly states in article 72 of section 7, that “any character who loses a life, shall return to their original state with any item they possessed at the time of their demise”. So kindly go f*ck yourself James."

And how should one respond to that sort of smackdown? With a ton of The Rock wrestling gifs, of course.

While the "kindly go f*ck yourself" part might have seemed a tad overkill, it was all taken in good jest by James. The movie fan responded with: "THE ROCK IS THE GREATEST HUMAN <3", and was pleasantly surprised to see Johnson continue the interaction further.
"I mean thankfully we always have the trusted Jumanji handbook for the rules lol," he tweeted.
Leaving James to tweet (possibly while squealing in glee), "Dude. I haven’t loved you this much since WrestleMania 18."
So, it just goes to show, sometimes
Twitter isn't just a huge mess of people arguing over politics and celebrities. Also, movie remakes aren't always, to use James' words, "bulls**t".
