The police have confirmed the cause of death of actor Tyler Sanders, who was best known for starring in 911 Lone Star, following an autopsy.
In June, the 18-year-old Hollywood star was found dead in his LA home, with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner stating that his death was accidental.
Police said at the time that they did not suspect foul play and found no signs of suspicious circumstances after the Just Add Magic star was found dead at home.
At the time, the LA County's Medical Examiner-Coroner shared on its website that Sanders' cause of death was "deferred", meaning it was "pending additional investigation".
The cause of death has since been updated to reveal he died from "fentanyl effects", following the results of his autopsy.
In a report obtained by TMZ, the Medical Examiner revealed that Sanders sent a text message to a friend the night before his death and told them that he was using fentanyl.
The report further disclosed that the young star did not respond to phone calls from his friend after sending the message about his substance use.
The coroner clarified that The Walking Dead actor didn't have any known medical problems, however, it said that he had a history of drug use, such as heroin, LSD, cocaine, Xanax, and mushrooms.
In addition to this, investigators also discovered white powder and a plastic straw in the room where Sanders's body was found.
According to the Daily Mail, Pedro Tapia - a representative for Sanders - shared a statement after the announcement of his death that read: "Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future. He comes from a wonderful family, and we ask that you respect their privacy at this time."
The teen star began acting professionally at the age of 10 after working on stage in school projects. His first role was in 2015 on the show JLW Academy as himself.
Afterward, he landed the role of Young Jake Otto on Fear The Walking Dead in the 2017 episode - which led to a role in the TV movie What About Barb?, playing Siggy.
He then played Logan Hawke in the TV series The Rookie in 2018, and in 2019 he starred as Eli in the Reliant which won critical acclaim.
In that same year, he played Leo in the Prime Video series Just Add Magic and then reprised the role again in the spin-off show Just Add Magic: Mystery City in 2020 - in which he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination.
He also starred in the TV movie Escaping My Stalker and then in 2022, he appeared on 911: Lone Star as a character named Brian.
