Gary Lineker has been the face of Walker's crisps for decades.

The former England striker first signed with the popular snack brand way back in 1994. Since then, he's starred in over 150 ads and appeared in many iconic campaigns, all while tucking into a bag of his favorite crisps.

But now, one food brand is trying to steal him away. Beermunch makers Brew City have taken it upon themselves to come between Linker and Walkers, launching a campaign designed to woo the football star.

In a hilarious (and rather cheeky) new video, Brew City declare that they want Gary - and that they're willing to do almost anything to win him over.

The clip features a 'representative' from Brew City delivering a sales-style pitch to the England football legend from a plush office. He begins by addressing the former striker directly, saying: "Gary? From Leicester? Goal bagger? Crisp lover? Yeah, that's right - you."

Check out the brazen video in the tweet below:

Throughout the tongue-in-cheek video, Brew City is careful to only refer to Lineker by his first name, and bleep out the name of their rival brand when alluding to his current contract at Walkers in the video.

Wasting no time in getting to the point, he makes their intentions clear: "Gary, you're the king of the snack game. So it's time you worked for the king of snacks, Brew City."

He then lists all the perks and bonuses on offer if Lineker were to sign for Brew City.

"This custom office is all yours. You get more cheese and beer than you could ever need. We've got all the football, all the time," says the rep. He even makes a cheeky reference to the infamous moment when Lineker had an accident on the pitch during the 1990 World Cup by holding up a roll of toilet paper. "Just in case it happens again," he winks.

Brew City then gets down to business, suggesting that they'll top whatever the star is getting paid by Walkers... but only by 1p.

"So go on Gary, slide into our DM's. Or Facebook message me like my mom does. Or send a carrier pigeon," the rep says, before poking fun at one of Lineker's most notable features, saying: "We're all ears."

The video was posted to Twitter alongside the caption "What you reckon, Gary? Should make your 2023 contract negotiations interesting," and the hashtag "wewantgary".

Brew City even threw in a timely meme for good measure, sharing a snap of the infamous moment Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, but implying that Walker's were slapping Brew City and shouting: "Keep @GaryLineker's name out of your f****** mouth!"

That said, Lineker clearly got the message - so much so that he retweeted the clip with a wide-eyes emoji. Could this mean the football star likes what he sees over at Brew City HQ? Maybe after his decades-long love affair with Walkers, his eyes are finally starting to wander?

Brew City is currently taking the snack world by storm with its range of what it calls "Beermunch" - basically, tasty treats that go perfectly with a nice cold brew.

Yes, no more boring crisps and nuts to go alongside your beer. Instead, Brew City's "top tier snacks" include BBQ Mozzarella Melts, Cheesy Brew Bites, and Sweet Chilli Halloumi Bites. And I literally couldn't write that sentence without my mouth filling up with saliva.
