An entire decade has officially passed since one of the most iconic moments in Oscars history when John Travolta spectacularly messed up while announcing a performance.

In case you missed it (if so, how?), Menzel - who voices Elsa in the Disney hit Frozen - had been due to perform the film's famous song 'Let It Go' at the 2014 Oscars.

Travolta, 70, had taken the stage to introduce her, but inadvertently ended up creating one of the most-memed moments in Oscars history when he completely flubbed her name while reading off the teleprompter.

He told the crowd: "There will always be a special place in my heart for the movie musical and for the songs that create their most memorable moments.

"Here to perform the Oscar-nominated, gorgeously empowering song 'Let It Go', from the Oscar-winning animated movie Frozen, please welcome the wickedly talented, one and only Adele Dazeem."

It's hard to believe it's already been 10 years since this iconic moment, but one person who didn't forget to mark the anniversary is none other than Adele Dazeem herself.

Menzel, 52, took to TikTok to make light of the moment as well as mark the milestone as she wished her alter-ego a very happy 10th birthday.

She took to the video-sharing platform to say: "Hey, Adele Dazeem, it's Idina Menzel. I just want to say happy birthday.

"I'm sending you so much love and positive energy, I hope you have the best, best day," she added, before singing Happy Birthday, adding in the caption: "Happy 10th birthday, Adele Dazeem!"

Her followers quickly flooded the comments to share their disbelief that 10 whole years have passed since Adele Dazeem was born.

They wrote: "10 years already? Adele Dazeem is growing up so fast!", and: "How is our little Adele Dazeem already double digits?!!"

One person joked: "That was TEN years ago??????? I’m gonna walk off a cliff."

Others added: "I think about Adele Dazeem at least once a day", and: "Hilarious! Adele Dazeem still makes me laugh 10 years later!!"

Another wrote: "Happy Birthday Adele Dazeem! You will forever be an icon!", while someone else commented: "quite literally peed my pants from laughing so hard seeing Adele Dazeem & i kept rewinding it until i couldn’t breathe."

Same hun, same.

The moment understandably went viral instantly, and Travolta and Menzel were then invited to present together the following year in 2015.

Menzel got her own back on Travolta renaming her by introducing him as 'Glom Gazingo', which sadly did not catch on quite as hard as Adele Dazeem.

He responded by saying: "I deserve that, but you, my darling, my beautiful, my wickedly talented Idina Menzel."

She then joked: "You got it, not like it's going to follow me around for the rest of my life or anything," to which John replied: "Yeah, tell me about it."

Travolta previously spoke out about what went wrong on that stage to get him to make the infamous gaffe, telling Jimmy Kimmel in 2015: "The truth is, I was expected backstage and it was getting very close to the time I was supposed to go on and suddenly a page - an assistant to you - grabbed me and said you're on in a minute.

"I was like 'What happened to 15 minutes?' and they didn't explain. Later I found out my actual page got stuck in an elevator and couldn't communicate to anybody so the back-up came to get me.

"As I get backstage I run into Goldie Hawn. She's sexy, charismatic, beautiful and I was starstruck, hugging and loving her up, forgetting I had to do this bit.

"Then they were like 'OK you're on' and then they said 'Oh by the way, we've changed Idina's name to a phonetic spelling and I was like 'Wait - what do you mean?' 'Go!' he said, showing mock panic.

"So I go out there and I get to her thing and I go 'Huh?' In my mind I'm going 'What? What is that name? I don't know that name.' And it was this phonetic spelling, and I didn't rehearse it that way."

Thankfully, things worked out very well for Menzel as a result of the mistake, as Travolta revealed: "The beautiful news, and Idina actually agrees, is that she's had one of the best years of her life, and her career. And she gives me credit!"

Long live Adele Dazeem.
