Hilaria Baldwin has revealed the name of her seventh child with Alec Baldwin - but not everyone is impressed.

The 38-year-old yoga instructor announced on her social media pages that the latest member of the Baldwin family has been named Ilaria Catalina Irenauce.

Of course, 'Ilaria' is strikingly similar to mom Hilaria's name, and with the entrepreneur's mom's called Kathryn and the fact her grandmother's name was Irene, it seems that baby Ilaria has been given European versions of her mother's family names.

Sharing a short reel on her Instagram - which was later reposted by her 64-year-old husband - the clip begins with her cradling the baby to her chest in the hospital as she looks overcome with emotion.

Alongside a short heartwarming video on Instagram, the mother-of-seven wrote: "She’s here! We are so excited to introduce you to our tiny dream come true, Ilaria Catalina Irenauce you to our tiny dream come true."

However, it wasn't long before online users reacted to the news of her newborn's name and remarked that the mother is allegedly faking her Spanish heritage.

One user wrote: "Alec Baldwin's wife faking being Spanish is so crazy. Changing her name from Hillary to Hilaria, naming all 7 of their kids with those roots, pretending to forget the English word for 'cucumber', faking an accent. She should’ve changed her name to hilarious instead."

Another commented: "'Hilaria' Baldwin is not Spanish lol - She was born and raised in the US, fakes her 'accent', and her real name is Hillary… she just gives her kids Spanish names and pretends."

A third said: "Hilaria and Alec Baldwin had their 7th child. Not one American name, not even a middle name."

A fourth shared: "Her blatant trying to be Spanish is really quite irritating, why is it okay? Why does she keep trying? Have they really let it go to their heads that much?"

The criticism comes after it was revealed in 2020 that revealed that Hilaria was actually born in Boston - not Spain - and that her birth name is actually Hilliary Lynn Hayward-Thomas.

Flames were fanned further when Baldwin appeared in a cooking segment for the Today show and appeared to momentarily forget the English word for cucumber.

The yoga teacher addressed the "fake heritage" allegations in an interview with the New York Times back in December of that year and said her forgetting the name of the vegetable was simply due to nerves as it was one of the first times she’d appeared on live TV.

She also informed people that her management agency writing that she was born on the Spanish island of Mallorca in a social media bio was a "disappointing" error.

The yoga teacher also told the outlet that although she was born Hilary, she decided to change her name to Hilaria as that’s what her Spanish family calls her.

"The things I have shared about myself are very clear. I was born in Boston. I spent time in Boston and in Spain. My family now lives in Spain," she added.

In an Instagram post shared a couple of months later, she would write: "I’ve spent the last month listening, reflecting, and asking myself how I can learn and grow.

"My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both. The way I’ve spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained - I should have been more clear and I'm sorry.

"I'm proud of the way I was raised, and we’re raising our children to share the same love and respect for both. Being vulnerable and pushing ourselves to learn and grow is what we've built our community on, and I hope to get back to the supportive and kind environment we’ve built together."

Nevertheless, little Ilaria joins siblings Carmen, nine, Rafael, seven, Leonardo, five, Romeo, four, Eduardo, 23 months, and Lucia, 18 months, as well as Alec’s 26-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, Ireland Baldwin.
