Alec Baldwin has been slammed by social media users for sharing a cheery photo celebrating the last day of filming for Rust.
Last month, filming for the western movie resumed at Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana - a year and a half after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died after a fatal shooting on set.
The 42-year-old tragically lost her life after a prop gun the 65-year-old had been holding discharged a live round in October 2021. The incident also injured director Joel Souza, who survived.
After the tragic incident, Baldwin was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, however, it was reported in April that all criminal charges were dropped.
The cinematographer's husband served as an executive producer on the project and agreed for the movie to be finished as part of a settlement reached with Baldwin.
On May 18, the Beetlejuice star confirmed on his Instagram that production for the movie was over after sharing a selfie flaunting his clean-shaven face with the caption: "God, it felt good to shave off that beard…."
Before that, he posted a picture with his young co-star Patrick Scott McDermott and penned a tribute, writing: "Last day on the set of RUST with this guy. A very talented actor and lovely young man with a bright future ahead. My love to you, @patrickscottmcdermott."
The picture with the pair grinning angered many users on the social media platform who criticized the actor for his "shameless" and "tone-deaf" post.
One outraged user wrote: "The fact that someone died tragically on this set, a young mother at that, should mean that while you do go on and finish the movie, perhaps out of respect and common sensitivity you don’t post happy photos with the remaining living from that particular movie set!!!!! Good f***ing God!!!"
Another irate user commented: "They still moved forward with the film. Sorry, but horribly poor taste. A human life was lost. Wth?"

The film sees the actor play an outlaw who comes out of hiding to stop his 13-year-old grandson from being hanged for murder. The production was temporarily suspended in October 2021 after the firearms shooting incident.
Baldwin had officially been charged with involuntary manslaughter back in January after the cinematographer's tragic death. Ever since the tragedy, he repeatedly maintained his innocence and claimed that the prop gun he was handed was not meant to be loaded and that his understanding was that it was empty.
In addition to this, he accused the movie's armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed - who was also charged with involuntary manslaughter - of not doing the proper checks. Gutierrez-Reed is still facing the charges against her, per the Daily Mail.
Baldwin's lawyers, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, shared a statement via The New York Post after the charges against him were dropped. It read: "We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident."
