Alec Baldwin has shaved off his beard to celebrate wrapping up filming for the controversial movie Rust.
As previously reported, the 65-year-old actor was charged in relation to the movie set shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The 42-year-old tragically died after a prop gun Baldwin had been holding discharged a live round in October 2021. The incident also injured director Joel Souza, who survived.
Initially, Santa Fe prosecutors sought two involuntary manslaughter charges against the father-of-seven, however, it was reported in April that all criminal charges were dropped.
Filming for Rust resumed last month in Pray, Montana - a year and a half after Hutchins was killed. Her husband served as an executive producer on the project and agreed for the movie to be finished as part of a settlement reached with Baldwin.
It looks like production ended one month later as Baldwin took to his Instagram on Tuesday (May 16) to celebrate his last day on set. The Hollywood star marked the milestone by posting a selfie flaunting his clean-shaven face with the caption: "God, it felt good to shave off that beard…."
Before shaving off the white scruff, the actor posed with his young co-star Patrick Scott McDermott for some pictures. He posted them on his social media page and even penned a tribute to the 13-year-old, writing: "Last day on the set of RUST with this guy."
"A very talented actor and lovely young man with a bright future ahead. My love to you, @patrickscottmcdermott," he added next to a snap of the pair grinning in front of a mountainous backdrop.

The Beetlejuice actor had officially been charged with involuntary manslaughter back in January after the cinematographer's tragic death. The news divided the movie industry, as well as the general public, with people debating whether he should be blamed for the incident.
Ever since the tragedy, Baldwin repeatedly maintained his innocence and claimed that the prop gun he was handed was not meant to be loaded and that his understanding was that it was empty.
He accused the movie's armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed - who was also charged with involuntary manslaughter - of not ensuring the weapon was safe. Gutierrez-Reed is still facing the charges against her, per the Daily Mail.
Nevertheless, his lawyers, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro shared a statement via The New York Post after the charges against him were dropped. It read: "We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident."

Following news of the charges being dropped, Baldwin's wife Hilaria, subsequently took to Instagram to post a photo of herself sitting on his lap and cuddling him.
The actor also shared an image of the pair to his own account, thanking the 39-year-old - who is the mother to seven of his eight children - and his lawyer.
