Alec Musser's fiancee has shared a heartbreaking statement after the actor passed away at the age of 50.
The late actor is best known for portraying the character Del Henry in 43 episodes of the long-running daytime television series, All My Children, back in 2005. He earned the role after he won the second season of the SOAPnet original series, I Wanna Be a Soap Star.
While Musser's acting career encompassed only six total credits, he made notable appearances in Desperate Housewives as Renee Perry's masseuse Friedrich, the 2010 comedy movie Grown Ups as the "Water Park Stud," as well as Road to the Altar, Rita Rocks and The Phantom Executioner.
The soap star tragically died of an undisclosed cause at his home in Del Mar, California, as reported by TMZ.
Musser's fiancée, Paige Press, shared the heartbreaking news with the outlet, while his uncle confirmed the actor's passing. However, details surrounding the circumstances leading up to his death have not been publicized.
Press has taken to her Instagram story to share a series of throwback photos of the couple, who got engaged last year.
"RIP to the love of my life," she sweetly penned over a "vision board for 2023" picture which contained photos of him and engagement images. "I will never stop loving you," she added.
The grieving fiancée also shared a photograph of the couple on a red carpet, where she was spotted wearing an orange dress while her partner donned a pink shirt with white trousers.
She heartbreakingly captioned the photo: "Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy."
Press also added a snapshot of the Desperate Housewives star surprising her with matching Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs.
"You were the best fiancé I could of ever asked for," she wrote. "I don't even think I can drive my g wagon anymore."
In recent years, Musser was not active in Hollywood but maintained a presence on social media as he often shared updates about his active lifestyle and fitness journey.
His final Instagram post was shared four days ago, and it was a serene picture of the late actor surfing. He captioned the picture: "Silhouette by Baja Winter twilight."
Many fans and friends have now taken to the comments section to share their touching tributes to the dedicated bodybuilder and express their sympathies to his loved ones.
"RIP Brother Alec… We will surf together again my friend… May God Bless you in your new Adventure of Heaven… Prayers and Love out to family," photographer John Watkins wrote, while another shared: "I'm in shock brother. You were a dear friend and will always be remembered. Enjoy those perfect heavenly waves and powder runs."
A third commented: "Had the opportunity to have met this most awesome dude on a location/movie set that I was working on. This guy/Alec Musser was so cool, down to earth, personable, and had an awesome sense of humor! He led a workout session on the set between a break in filming scenes!"
A fourth added: "May his family find comfort and peace during this absolutely devastating loss. He was so young."
Adam Sandler, who worked with the actor on Grown Ups, also shared a poignant message to his former co-star on his social media page.
"I loved this guy," he wrote in a caption alongside a picture of Musser in the flick. "Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person."
Our thoughts are with Musser's family, friends and fans at this time.
