For those familiar with Ali Wong's work, you'll most likely have seen her Netflix comedy specials Ali Wong: Baby Cobra and Ali Wong: Hard Knock.
And if you're especially eagle-eyed (or not, because it is glaringly obvious) you'll notice that in both of them, she's heavily pregnant.
So, naturally, fans of the 40-year-old comedian were surprised to see she wasn't pregnant when she starred in the hit Netflix series Beef - which has taken viewers by storm.
This show - which also stars Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and has swiftly become one of the top 10 most popular shows on the streaming platform - follows the story of two people whose lives become embroiled in chaos after a road-rage incident.
Yeun, 39, and Wong discussed their latest project - as well as Wong's seemingly perpetual pregnancies - in a recent Q&A interview with WIRED, where they answered the internet's most searched questions about them.
One of the questions asked was "Why is Ali Wong always pregnant?" In response, Wong rolled her eyes and said: "Hilarious."
Wong explained that because both of her comedy specials were so successful a lot of the clips and photos from herself from that time show her heavily pregnant, which has led many to believe that she's always pregnant, despite having just two children.
She also said that another reason why she was with child in her first Netflix comedy special was because she had left filming them to the very last minute. "The reason why I was [pregnant] for my specials, the first one was because I was so reticent to let that hour go. But then I was about to have a baby so that seventh month was like the last month I could fly," she admitted.
"I was procrastinating, I was like this is the last date I can film my one-hour special before I have a kid. The second time was because I wanted to be fair to the first kid," she quipped.
Yeun then hopped in, defending Wong's choice to film her Netflix comedy specials while pregnant, adding: "There's all that but, [also] because she's a badass working mama."
The pair have been on the promotional trail for Beef, which has already received rave reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with ABC News saying: "Polish up those Emmys for the year's best and most addictive new series - a moral tale of LA road rage starring Stephen Yuen and Ali Wong (both perfection) that explodes with rule-breaking experimentation. Nobody who sees it is going to shut up about it."
The gripping 10-part series is available on Netflix now!
