Elisabeth Moss has announced that she is expecting her first baby!
On Tuesday (January 29), the 41-year-old Emmy Award-winning actress made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a full baby bump on show.
As soon as Moss sat down, the 56-year-old host went straight to the point as he asked her: "Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?"
"A little bit of both," the Handmaid's Tale star responded while laughing.
Watch Moss reveal her pregnancy below:The Mad Men actress opened up about her pregnancy journey as Kimmel asked her how she has been feeling, saying: "Not bad, actually. I've been really lucky. It's been going really well."
The star went on to ask the chat show host if he had any advice for her in regards to being a new parent, so Kimmel revealed that the best advice his wife Molly McNearney got before welcoming one of their children actually came from comedy legend Bill Murray, 73.
"He said bring Christmas lights to hang up [in the delivery room]," Kimmel said. "Because the lighting is terrible in the room. It's Walmart-style lighting for this blessed event that's going to happen and you don't want that."
He also suggested night lights but not candles like he had done, as they can not be lit in the delivery room due to there being oxygen canisters, which are highly flammable.
Moss was receptive to the suggestion as she replied: "I think that's a really good list, I like that."
As Moss is private about her personal life, she has not disclosed who the father of her baby is as well as her due date.
She has only had two public relationships, with one of them being her marriage to Saturday Night Live! comedian Fred Armisen, 57, in October 2009.
The ex-couple separated eight months later, with the Invisible Man actress officially filing for divorce in September 2010 citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was then finalized in May 2011.
In 2012, Moss was romantically involved with Australian cinematographer Adam Arkapaw after meeting on the New Zealand set of the mini-series, Top of the Lake. They dated for three years before eventually splitting in 2015.
The Shining Girls actress revealed to Marie Claire in 2018 that she was initially reluctant about motherhood but became open-minded to the idea as she got older.
"It's not for everybody, and I didn't know if it was going to be for me, but lately, I think it is," she told the publication. "I have no idea how I want to do it though or what the plan is."
Four years later, Moss told Daily Mail that she wants children because she has been "inspired" by her mom, Linda, gushing: "I definitely want to have kids because I've been very inspired by the kind of mother my mom is. She did a beautiful thing with me."
She jokingly added: "And then I’ll give the child to my mum and she can raise it because she'd do it very well!"
Congratulations to Moss!
