Alicia Keys once sang "some people want it all," and that statement clearly extends to an excited fan who kissed her on the cheek during a performance in Canada this week.
The singer-songwriter responded to the viral video of the incident which has, of course, done the rounds across multiple social media platforms.
The 41-year-old New York native was walking amongst the crowd at the Roger's Arena in Vancouver singing her hit song 'Empire State of Mind' for her "Alicia + Keys World Tour" on Monday when a fan grabbed her by the face and planted a kiss on her right cheek.
Reposted by Hollywood Unlocked on Instagram, the original video was captioned on Twitter: "GET ALICIA KEYS OUTTA THERE RIGHT NOW!!!"
Keys herself even commented under the video, writing: "Trust me, I was like what the F***!!!!!!!! Don't she know what time it is???

The singer looked visibly shocked during the incident, before continuing her performance.
Fans of the GRAMMY winner also reacted to the viral incident, with one commenting: "Oh hell naw... too much goin around for that level of closeness."

While another added: "Y'all gotta start learning to respect [people's] space!!!!!!"

"Where's Will Smith when you need [him]," someone else even cheekily stated.

One person wrote that they would have responded in a more aggressive way, saying: "Nahhhhh I would’ve snapped, people too damn comfortable."

Other fans took the situation a bit more seriously, writing that Keys' security should have been more alert to incidents such as this.
"Security was slipping!!!" one comment said.

Another wrote: "Security wasn't doing ENOUGH. How [the f***] does this even happen?"

Keys seems to be a magnet for performance interruptions, with the mom-of-two commenting on another incident that occurred during a MTV Video Music Awards performance in 2009.
During that incident, Keys was performing her 'Empire State of Mind' song with Jay-Z at the awards show when fellow singer Lil Mama crashed the performance, striking a pose with Jay-Z as the song ends.
In an interview with Complex, the singer touched upon the situation, saying that she actually doesn't remember too much about it as she was so focused on her performance.

"I think I was so focused on performing. Because when you perform, it’s a lot. You gotta hit it. You gotta nail it. You gotta kill it. It has to be perfect," she stated during the discussion.
