Amanda Bynes has updated fans on her battle to end her conservatorship.

The actress posted a clip to her Instagram profile this week, thanking fans for their support and letting them know when she'd be appearing in court.

"What's up, Instagram? Amanda Bynes here," the 35-year-old kicked off the video, in which she can be seen sporting a facial tattoo and dark hairstyle.

"My court date is coming up in two weeks. I want to thank you all so much for your love and support," she continued, before wrapping the video by saying "peace out" and flashing her fans a peace sign. Bynes also tagged several news outlets in the caption of her post, which she uploaded earlier this week.

After rising to fame as a child star in All That and The Amanda Show, Bynes went on to become one of the biggest actresses of the noughties, appearing in teen dramas She's The Man, Hairspray, and What A Girl Wants.

However, the actress became embroiled in legal troubles and suffered substance abuse issues. In 2013, she was formally placed in a conservatorship under her parents Lynn and Rick Bynes, Today reports.

A year later in 2014, she took to Twitter to announce that she had been diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder and manic depression.

Since then, Bynes has made huge steps to improve her mental state, moving into an apartment community that helps women learn independent living skills. In 2018, she received her associate degree in Merchandise Product Development and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at Los Angeles' Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

In February, Bynes filed a petition at Ventura County Superior Court in California to bring the nine-year conservatorship of her person and estate to an end. NBC News reports that her parents are fully in support of the move, with attorney Tamar Arminak telling the outlet that "the parents are happy, thrilled to get this good news."

"The professionals say she is ready to make her own life choices and decisions and are so proud of her. They 100 percent support her decision to end the conservatorship," he added.
