Amber Heard's Twitter account has reportedly been deactivated following Elon Musk's takeover.

Musk - who Forbes has estimated has a net worth of over $200 billion - finally concluded his acquisition of the social media platform in late October after first starting the process back in spring.

So far, the world's richest man has announced a host of major changes ahead for Twitter - including dissolving its board of directors, firing top executives, bringing in Tesla engineers to review Twitter's coding, and even revamping its verification process, FOX Business revealed.

The father-of-eight has repeatedly advocated for freedom of speech and has said on multiple occasions that he would be pushing for Twitter to head in that direction.

Now Newsweek has reported that Heard's Twitter account was no longer active.

Fiirst spotted by YouTuber Matthew Lewis, AKA That Umbrella Guy, he tweeted on Wednesday: "Amber Heard has deleted her Twitter."

It's unclear if, when or why Heard removed her account - or the reasons surrounding the deactivation.

Regardless, it seems the Aquaman actress is just one of many celebrities who have left the platform during the past week - including singer Toni Braxton, actress Shonda Rhimes, and retired professional wrestler Mick Foley, NBC News reveals.

Heard, 36, was previously in a relationship with Musk from 2016-2018, following her bitter divorce from fellow actor, Johnny Depp. Given this, certain users took to Twitter to speculate the reasons why Heard herself could have removed her account.

Morgan Tremaine, a former TMZ employee who was a key witness in Depp's infamous defamation trial against Heard, wrote: "Hmm looks like someone didn’t want their ex-boyfriend to have access to their account and DMs."

Though, another user commented that Musk would still likely have access to Heard's account, commenting: "What she doesn't realize is that deleted accounts can stay on the server. Usually not a problem for someone to wipe their history. Platforms don't allow access to their back ups. Unless you OWN that platform, then you can read those DM's to see if a person had been lying to you."

Well, it seems Twitter users are in for significant changes, and people are increasingly deciding to leave the platform following Musk's takeover. Only time will tell whether they'll be to netizens' benefit or not.
