Andrew Tate has once again made some bizarre claims, this time saying that a BBC interviewer is in "love" with him.
The 36-year-old British-American influencer has been in and out of headlines in recent years, having originally shot to fame for his controversial content on masculinity. In the last few months in particular, however, Tate was held in detention while police in Romania investigated allegations against him and his brother Tristan that included sexual assault, exploitation, organized crime, and human trafficking.
Tate and his brother were originally taken into custody on December 29, 2022, by Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). The brothers were arrested with two women in connection with the same case. After being held for 30 days, the brothers had their time held in custody extended multiple times. Their appeals to be released had also been denied.
Despite the pair having since been released from prison and placed on house arrest by Romanian officials, they are still under investigation.

Since being on house arrest, Tate has posted a number of bizarre and cryptic videos and messages - including a Tweet where he apparently predicted that he would be shot upon being eventually released. "I prepare my body to absorb the brutal kinetics of piercing lead. As all other silencing attempts fail, and stage 3 approaches - I anticipate a bullet will be the chosen utensil of pacification," Tate wrote.
"I can only pray and prepare. I will force myself to breathe the best I can. I promise," he added.
Another saw him puffing on a cigar while listening to Mariah Carey's 'We Belong Together'.
Though, apparently his odd behavior hasn't stopped there, as he's now begun waging a war of words against BBC reporter Lucy Williamson, after he sat down with her for an interview earlier this month. In it, the pair spoke about his ongoing criminal investigation and his influence over the young men who often feel marginalized or alienated by society.
This week, Tate once again took to Twitter, where he went on a bizarre rant about Williamson, saying that it had been "clear" from the moment they first met that he was "the object of her obsession."
Writing in unique - and often incoherent - style he said: "Fascination was woven into her veins, consuming her senses, a love untamed. Her every thought a delicate dance with my name. A whisper. Top G, Top G, Top G. And today, she waited over 6 hours in the cold outside of Diicot's head office to show me support."
His tweet included a video of Williamson trying to ask Tate a question, while the latter seems more interested in interacting with the paparazzi following the pair around.
He had earlier hit out at the mainstream media for "begging" him for interviews in an effort to showcase his outrageous antics, rather than seek a "balanced" view. "The mainstream media which vilify me BEG me for interviews under the guise of 'balanced' journalism. The Matrix is DESPERATE," he wrote.
"Where was the BBC's outrage when Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris were grooming, raping and molesting young girls for decades?" Tate added in a separate tweet.
If there's one thing we can take away from this story, it's that nobody loves Andrew Tate as much as he loves himself... Except, however, if you're a highly respected BBC journalist.
