Camille Vasquez has been hailed as a real-life "Wonder Woman" for rushing to help an elderly man who collapsed on her flight.

This incident occurred on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York earlier this week and saw an elderly man fall to the floor while walking past Vasquez and her bodyguard, who were sitting in first class.

According to TMZ, Johnny Depp's 37-year-old attorney reportedly leaped into action and tended to the guy. Passengers on the flight also revealed that Vasquez contacted her brother-in-law, who is a doctor.

The doctor then guided Vasquez through steps to check if the passenger's brain bled from the fall, or if he was having a heart attack, while her bodyguard took off his Apple watch device to monitor the elderly man's heart rate.

The crisis was quickly averted when a surgeon was located onboard the flight and was able to help the elderly passenger.

The plane was then diverted back to Los Angeles, where medics were waiting for the man - who had since regained consciousness - to be escorted off the plane and taken to receive medical care.

A representative for American Airlines confirmed the incident to TMZ and reported that due to Vasquez's swift response in assisting the passenger, another flight attendant told her she was a "wonder woman" and gifted her two bottles of alcohol.

The lawyer has gained celebrity status this year after she defended the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star to victory in the highly publicized defamation trial against 36-year-old Amber Heard on June 1.

During her June 8 interview on Good Morning America, Vasquez expressed her happiness over all the support she received since representing the Hollywood star.

She said: "It’s been surreal. If I’m being honest, a bit overwhelming. But if I can be an inspiration to young women who want to go to law school and study and work hard, then I’m all for it."

Vasquez's heroic save also comes the day before Depp's team and Amber Heard's lawyers sit down to discuss the final details of Depp's $10 million defamation win against his ex-wife.

As reported by Daily Mail, if the two parties fail to agree tomorrow (June 25), then the trial judge Penney Azcarate will file the jury's verdict, meaning both actors will be required to pay each other their ordered damages.

Depp was awarded $15 million in damages but the amount was later reduced to $10.35 million due to a matter of Virginia state law. He was also found liable on one count of defaming Heard and she was awarded $2 million.
