Social media users have reacted to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's seemingly tense interactions.

The celebrity couple is once again making headlines after a video of them walking toward their car went viral.

The footage begins with the 50-year-old Gone Girl star being a gentleman to the 53-year-old 'Jenny From The Block' singer as he opens the passenger door and waits for her to get inside.

Once his wife - who was donning a black turtle neck and wide-leg jeans, accessorized with sunglasses, and a bag - is sat inside, the actor appears to slam the door and then walks over to the driver’s seat.

Watch the video below:

Affleck notices the person filming them and gives the camera an upset look. He then raises his hand, appearing to call them out (albeit non-verbally) for documenting their outing.

The presumed cameraperson poked fun at the Air star's facial expressions and behavior, writing in the overlay text of the clip: "Ben Affleck shows chivalry isn’t dead."

The footage has since gone viral on Twitter, amassing more than 45.7 million views. Many users began examining the reason behind Affleck's clear "stressed out" appearance.

One user claimed that the door "slamming" was due to his marital problems, writing: "Ohh s***! That’s Ben Affleck visibly irritated slamming that door on Jennifer Lopez. Ufff… "

Another user shared: "Chivalry isn't dead but can he look any more unhappy about it?" while a third commented: "He closed that a little too hard if you asked me."

Meanwhile, many people defended the Batman vs Superman actor and remarked that he was probably just irritated at the individual recording him and his spouse.

One fan declared: "This is the body language I am reading as well. Obvious at the end, but a lot of people saying he looks mad at jlo. His energy reads 'f*** here we go again..' when he gets to his car and notices more people filming. Whether you choose that life or not, I am sure it gets old fast."

A second user said: "Or just annoyed that wherever he goes in his personal life.. someone has to be filming him."

And a third person added: "A lot of people trying to shoehorn their own relationship problems into this video when in fact that is the body language of a person who’s just sick to death of being filmed by strangers."

Over the years, the Gone Girl star’s facial expressions have inspired memes on the internet. In February, he went viral after he was caught looking bored during the 2023 Grammy Awards.

The 'Lets Get Loud' musician even poked fun at her husband's facial expressions by sharing a screenshot from his movie Air that showed him scowling. In the caption of her Instagram post, she quipped: "My husband’s happy face."

One month after the ceremony, Affleck addressed the viral memes during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He explained that despite how he looked at Grammys, it's a "common misconception" that he isn’t enjoying himself because he has a "very unhappy-looking resting face".

In addition to this, the Pearl Harbor actor emphasized to The Hollywood Reporter in March that he had a "good time" at the award show.

"My wife was going, and I thought: 'Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.' At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun," he said.
