Bernie Sanders has gone viral on social media after walking through the background of a TikToker's video and appearing unimpressed.
Taylor Champ - who goes by the handle @taylorchamp on TikTok - was filming a dance with a doorman on the streets of New York City when she captured the funny moment.
In the clip, the woman and the worker are seen waving their hands in the air to a mash-up of Ice Spice and PinkPantheress' 'Boy’s a liar Pt 2' and 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles.
It was at that moment that the 81-year-old Vermont senator was walking along the sidewalk and unintentionally appeared in the back of the dance video.
Watch Taylor's TikTok below:The Democratic senator caught a glimpse of the pair and stopped in his tracks. But instead of ruining their video, he walked around them to avoid interrupting.
Sanders maintained a deadpan yet confused facial expression throughout the five-second video, which has now amassed 1.8 million views and 342.8K likes on the platform.
Unsurprisingly, the amusing moment circulated on the internet in less than a day, with many users sharing their funny responses to the former presidential candidate's "relatable" reactions.
One user referenced one of Sanders' initiatives as a senator and wrote: "POV: Bernie changing his mind about being for the young people."

Another person stated that he is "truly he’s one of us".

A third user jested that his facial expression was like that because he has an "RBF" which means a "Resting Bernie face".

Over on Twitter, one person declared: "Most relatable politician of my lifetime," while another user remarked: "This is exactly how I expect Sen. Bernie Sanders to respond to walking into a TikTok."
Meanwhile, someone else claimed that the now-viral moment was "just as good if not better" than Sanders' iconic mitten meme. This was when a picture was taken of him during President Biden’s inauguration.
He was seen sitting on a folding chair while bundled up in a parka and wearing mittens that were gifted to him by a constituent. He commented on the widespread meme in his new book, It’s OK to Be Angry About Capitalism, and said that he'd "never received so much attention," per Insider.
In a follow-up video, the TikToker shared a separate clip that also captured the senator's wife Jane Sanders, who accidentally walked right through the pair's dance and apologized after.
Taylor informed her followers that she had no idea that Sanders had walked right by her until she replayed the video, but at that point, he had already left.
"I really wish in the moment I realized who was walking by," she captioned her video. "All I was thinking was wow, first time I try to make a TikTok out here and I almost hit this poor lady in the face," she said of the woman who turned out to be Mrs. Sanders."
"I was just hoping she wasn’t mad but she was so sweet lol," she added.
