Beyoncé has praised Meghan Markle for her recent interview alongside Prince Harry with Oprah Winfrey
In a post made on her official website, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter posted an image of herself and her husband Jay-Z meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle while attending the 2019 premiere of the live-action remake of Disney's The Lion King, in which Beyoncé played the character of Nala.
The statemen from Beyoncé reads: "Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you."
Of course, this isn't the first time that Beyoncé has pledged her support for the Duchess of Sussex.
During her acceptance speech with Jay-Z for Best International Group at the 2019 BRIT Awards, the couple paid tribute to Markle. As they thanked fans for their support in a pre-recorded video, fans spotted a portrait of Markle proudly showcased on the wall behind them.
Beyoncé's mother Tina Lawson has also publicly shown her allegiance to Markle after Piers Morgan criticised her Oprah interview on Good Morning Britain.
The presenter stormed off camera after his GMB co-host Alex Beresford called pulled him up on comments he'd made about the Duchess.
In response, Lawson wrote: "So Piers Morgan stormed off because he can dish it out but he can’t take it. Is he 5 years old or what? No concern for Archie whatsoever!
"Looks to me like he’s saying. How dare this black man reprimand me on national TV. Only I can do that. I can drag Meghan But you cannot call me out!
"Morgan has always felt superior White and British at that. He has always felt his White privilege. He is showing his true colors literally! They better not come for Alex for telling the truth!"
Beresford confronted Morgan over his skepticism of Markle's claims that she was denied mental health help and care, as well as her allegations that members of the British Royal Family made racist remarks about the skin tone of her son Archie prior to his birth.
Morgan has since quit Good Morning Britain. Explaining his decision, he wrote on Twitter: "On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions."
