Billie Eilish has given fans a glimpse of a hidden tattoo she had previously vowed they'd never get to see.

The singer, 21, sent the internet into meltdown this week after a photo of her in a bikini was shared to a friend's Instagram account.

While Billie looked to be loving soaking up the sunshine in a Miaou bikini, fans were quick to spot their first ever glimpse of a tattoo she'd previously said they'd never see.

The 'Bad Guy' star's ink could be seen in the center of her chest, spelling out 'Eilish' in a small design, visible under the string of her bikini top.

Billie - who now has at least three designs inked on her body - previously told Vanity Fair in 2020: "I did get a tattoo, but you won't ever see it."

According to reports from Rolling Stone, the tattoo is of the word 'Eilish' in an ornate, gothic font and she had it done after winning five Grammys in 2020, as she said at the time: "Yes, I love myself."

Before going under the needle, Billie had told Vanity Fair in 2017 that she would never get any face tattoos, adding: "The only tattoos I wanna get are the ones that barely anyone can see."

She now has the piece in the center of her chest, a design on her hand, as well as a dragon on her hip.

Billie revealed that the fairies on her left hand were inspired by a book she loved while growing up, saying: "They're like my little guardian angel fairies. They're from a book that I had growing up, a little fairy book called Fairyopolis."

She also first showed off her "big boy" tattoo of a dragon in her photoshoot with Vogue, which was the first time the singer had been seen in skimpy clothing for a magazine shoot.

The design creeps from her hip and stomach all the way down to her thigh, and she has also shown the design off on social media too.

Her 'Eilish' tattoo has so far been the only one that fans had never seen before, having been easily hidden by clothes in the past.

However, a photo shared by her friend Annabel Zimmer - the daughter of famed film composer Hans Zimmer - showed the design off to the world.

In the candid snap, Billie can be seen sitting outdoors in a bikini top and sunglasses, smiling as she gazes off to the side while soaking up the rays.

Billie has allowed fans to see her in more pared-down looks of late, after previously being known for rocking oversized clothing.

The singer previously addressed why she chose to cover up in baggy clothes in the past, saying in a 2019 campaign video for Calvin Klein: "I never want the world to know everything about me. I mean, that’s why I wear big baggy clothes.

"Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath, you know?"

She added: "Nobody can be like, 'Oh she’s slim-thick, she’s not slim-thick, she got a flat a**, she got a fat a**.' Nobody can say any of that because they don’t know."
