Billie Eilish says switching her signature green and black hair for blonde makes her feel "more like a woman".

The singer, 19, started trending on social media after unveiling a photoshoot she did for British Vogue, as she graced the magazine's June 2021 cover.

In the interview, Eilish opened up about her ever-changing image, admitting that she finally feels ready to show off her body after years of wearing baggy clothing.

Admitting that she expected her new look "to suck", Eilish admits it's actually given her a new lease of life instead.

She said: "I feel more like a woman, somehow."

The singer has been open and honest about her thoughts on body positivity and self-love, and although she's rocking a brand new style, she refuses to shift her mindset on her core values.

The new look has forced her to clear up any misconceptions as she felt her intent has been spun into "a lot of weird miscommunications".

She said: "It's all about what makes you feel good. If you want to get surgery, go get surgery.

"If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, f**k it - if you feel like you look good, you look good."

The photoshoot shows the singer dress down in sultry lingerie - a far cry from her usual baggy outfits that purposefully hid her figure.

The images were taken by photographer Craig McDean, and show the 'Bad Guy' singer looking stunning in a custom Gucci corset and skirt, paired with Agent Provocateur underwear.

Eilish couldn't help but share the snaps on social media, taking to Instagram and Twitter to post the images alongside candid captions.

Sharing an image of her wearing a custom catsuit, alongside the caption: "I love these pictures and i loved doing this shoot. do whatever you want whenever you want. f**k everything else [sic]".

Promoting the feature on Twitter, Vogue revealed that Eilish spoke to the publication "personal choice, about fear, about fun, about women’s bodies, about consent, and above all about confidence".

The stunning cover did more than surprise fans, as it even managed to break an Instagram record by amassing one million likes in just six minutes, per Daily Mail, the fastest post ever to do so.
