Blake Lively has once again proven that she and her husband Ryan Reynolds are Hollywood's funniest couple, after making a hilarious revelation on Instagram recently.
The 35-year-old has been supporting Reynolds, 46, following his and fellow actor Rob McElhenny's purchase of Wrexham Football Club, a soccer team hailing from a small town named Wrexham in Wales.
So momentous was the unique purchase that McElhenny - who is most widely known for his role in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - and Reynolds documented the lengthy process in a reality TV series. It has so far chronicled many nail-biting moments as the soccer team attempts to make their way from one of British soccer's lowest levels to the top-tier Premier League.
One of those stressful moments happened just last week as Reynolds flew to Wales to watch Wrexham play Sheffield United in a game that eventually ended in a draw.
Ever the supportive wife, Lively took to her Instagram stories to reveal to her 37.8 million followers that she'd purchased ESPN+ just to watch her husband "experience crippling anxiety," writing: "I bought espn+ today. Just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it."
She added some more text underneath a short clip of Reynolds watching the soccer match in disbelief on the television which read: "If you're not watching this insane [Wrexham] game right now you're missing out on these vibes, They're playing a team 3 leagues higher. And currently winning. Life makes no sense."
Reynolds - who shares three daughters with Lively, and is currently expecting his fourth child with her - has previously been open about his struggles with anxiety, telling CBS Sunday Morning last year: "I've had anxiety my whole life really. And you know, I feel like I have two parts of my personality, that one takes over when that happens."
He then recounted his previous experiences with stage fright, stating: "When I would go out on, like, '[The Late Show with David] Letterman', back in the day, I was nervous. But I remember I'd be standing backstage before the curtain would open, and I would think to myself, 'I'm gonna die. I'm literally gonna die here. The curtain's gonna open and I'm just gonna be, I'm just gonna be a symphony of vomit,' just, like, something horrible's gonna happen!"
Despite his history with anxiety Reynolds has gone on to become one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, coming second place behind Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in 2020, according to Forbes.
His relationship with Lively has also garnered much interest, given the couple's penchant for poking fun at each other on social media over the years. One such moment was when Reynolds uploaded an image of Lively dressed in character for her role in The Rhythm Section with the caption: "#NoFilter."
The couple - who have been married since 2012 - have even gotten into the tradition of cropping each other out of images for birthday tributes, with Reynolds starting the trend by cropping Lively out of a shot of the pair for her birthday.
