A boy who went viral after a video circulated of him begging bullies to leave him alone is now set to star in a movie with Chris Hemsworth.

Quaden Bayles, 12, made headlines in 2020 after his mother Yarraka shared a heartbreaking video of him in tears, wanting to end his life due to being bullied.

Per the Daily Mail, Bayles was born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism. He was just nine years old when the footage circulated in which he screamed: "I just want to stab myself in the heart... I want someone to kill me."

Bayles was then further trolled online after some viewers alleged that he was an 18-year-old actor trying to scam people and raise money. These claims were false.

Three years on from the heartbreaking footage, Bayles' life has taken a turn for the better as he rubs shoulders with Hollywood's elite, and is even set to star in a major movie!

Revealing the casting on his Instagram, Bayles will start in Furiosa, a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road that follows the origin story of the title character, per IMDb.

It will tell the backstory of Furiosa, Fury Road's formidable heroine, who was played by Charlize Theron in a previous movie.

Bayles said on Instagram: "Can’t wait to watch on the big screen next year," while tagging co-stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Filming for the movie wrapped in September, and is dubbed to be the biggest movie ever to be made in Australia.

This isn't Bayles' first time taking to the big screen, however. He made his debut in Three Thousand Years of Longing alongside Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba, per CNN.

In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, the Director of both aforementioned movies, George Miller, spoke about casting Bayles in his projects.

"It was good for us and it was good for him", Miller said. "He did such a good job [in Three Thousand Years of Longing] that he’s got a small role in Furiosa."

As reported by NITV, Bayles is over the moon about his movie roles: "I can't believe I'm in Mad Max! My brother was the one that showed it [to me], it blew my mind," he said.

"I was a bit scared, but I love it. I love the movie, and I love working with George Miller. It's a really great job for me, because of what I have been through. I really love acting."

It looks like Bayles has a very promising future ahead, and we can't wait to see what he gets up to next!

Furiosa is slated for release in theaters in May 2024.
