America's Got Talent alum Scott Alexander has passed away from a stroke.

As reported by TMZ, the magician - who competed in season six of the reality series before his elimination in the quarterfinals - has passed away after suffering from a stroke.

In a statement shared by his wife Jenny Alexander on Monday (February 6), she wrote to her followers on the social media platform that her husband tragically died while working on a cruise ship on Sunday.

"I lost my husband yesterday. My kids lost their father. He suffered a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St Kitts and did not make it home to us. We are shattered. Please hold us in your prayers," she posted on Instagram.

Upon seeing the devastating news, many people took to the comment section to send their condolences to Scott's wife and children.

One user penned an emotional tribute, writing: "Jenny, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Both you and Scott hold a very dear place in my heart as your act was the very first professional stage hand job I had way back in 1998 at Wizards Weekend in Minneapolis, MN."

"I learned a tremendous amount from that show that allowed me to be successful with other acts. As an added bonus, you introduced me to the band Squirrel Nut Zippers when you performed the cremation illusion," they continued.

"I am absolutely devastated with this news. You and your family are in my thoughts and know that I am grieving with you," they added.
