Britney Spears has been enjoying a vacation in Maui, Hawaii, with her husband Sam Asghari when she decided to get some new ink.
The 41-year-old has been in the headlines recently, after numerous outlets shared a "manic" video of her at a restaurant, covering her face with a menu to stop other diners from filming her.
However, since then it's been revealed by Asghari that allegations of a "manic episode" were incorrect and that Britney had simply been getting increasingly frustrated that other people had been recording her without permission.
"People get a little too excited to see my wife so everybody is filming, doing their thing. But you know how it is, fame comes with the territory and I went to get the car to get the hell out of there, and people just thought I'd left, but that didn't happen. So it is what it is man," he stated, via The Daily Mail.
While in Hawaii, however, Britney still seems to be having a good time. In fact, she even commemorated the visit by getting a new tattoo. In a social media post three days later, though, she didn't seem too pleased with her latest design.
Taking to Instagram, the 'Oops... I Did It Again' singer posted a playful video of herself dancing around in her hotel room, excitedly moving about in her signature low-rise shorts and stomach-baring top. Then, the video cut to her holding out her arm so a tattoo artist could get to work inking what looked like a black heart on her right forearm.
"Tattoo in Maui 3 days ago [...] !!! Can't show it because it sucks [...] !!! Like really really sucks !!! S**t [...] !!! Psss … I have to fix it [...] !!!", she captioned the short clip.
According to The Daily Mail, Britney has at least nine other tattoos - including a triangle on her right arm, a dice on her left forearm, a fairy on her lower back, lips on her right forearm, a Hebrew symbol on the back of her neck, cross on her lower hip, a Chinese symbol on her bikini line, and more.
Britney has legally been free of her conservatorship for just over a year now, since the 13-year rule was lifted in November 2021. That legal situation saw the singer's personal and financial decisions controlled by her father Jamie Spears following her public breakdown in 2007.
As she fought for the right to be able to drink coffee, drive a car, get married, and have more children, the mom-of-two told a court earlier in 2021 about her experience in the conservatorship.
"It's been a long time since I've owned my money and it's my wish and my dream for all of this to end without being tested. Again, it makes no sense whatsoever for the state of California to sit back and literally watch me with their own two eyes, make a living for so many people and pay so many people - trucks and buses on tour on the road with me - and be told I'm not good enough," she stated, via NPR.
The singer also explained in chilling detail how she was forced to have an IUD inserted against her will to prevent her from falling pregnant, stating: "I want to be able to get married and have a baby [...] this so-called team won't let me go to the doctor to take [the IUD] out because they don't want me to have...any more children," per Vogue.
