Britney Spears has shared her admiration for Taylor Swift in a new post on social media, recalling the first time they ever met.
The 41-year-old 'Toxic' singer took to Instagram to post about meeting the 33-year-old Grammy-award-winning artist almost two decades ago.
In a side-by-side comparison, Spears showed off a picture of the two musicians meeting all the way back in 2003 and then posted another from 2008 after the star had fully broken into the country music industry.
Alongside the image, she also included a heartfelt caption in which she described Swift as her "girl crush."
"This is way back when but kinda cool... During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door," she wrote. "My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, 'I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.'"
Spears then opened up about the experience.
"I was like of course !!! He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow she's unbelievable !!!" she continued before going on to describe her as "the most iconic pop woman of our generation."
"Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She's stunning !!! Girl crush," she said.
The veteran singer concluded the post with a slightly strange note to her mom.
"PS mom I love you so so much, but there were 3 dolls in the cabinets when I went home 2 years ago... kinda really weird you would take them out and then put them back in... so messed up. Nope, I don't want them. Keep it all. I honestly don't care anymore... honestly though."

Ever since The Eras Tour started back in March, it seems as though multiple other figures in the entertainment industry have also gone out of their way to confirm that Swift is as amazing as she seems.
Reese Witherspoon joined the fun, taking to Instagram to praise Swift's performance after attending a show.
"What a night to remember! @taylorswift in front of 70,000 incredible fans," she wrote on the social media platform. "The stellar song choices, inspired choreography, other-worldly art design... an incredible night to dance, sing and feel so much JOY .. thank you [Taylor] and the whole ERAS tour team for shining so bright tonight."
Jennifer Garner also took to Instagram back in July to praise the star for her "generosity of spirit, ferocity and stamina" before describing the night as "epic."
Other stars loving the singer also include the likes of Ashley Tisdale, Lupita Nyong'o, Kevin Costner, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
