Legendary actress and model Brooke Shields has been labelled a “timeless beauty” by fans after her latest Instagram swimsuit snap.
The 55-year-old, who is probably best known for her roles in controversial 80s flicks including “Blue Lagoon” and “Endless Love”, shared the photo with her 1.1 million followers on the social media channel, generating thousands of supportive comments in the process.

The picture, which featured Shields languishing on a beach in an unknown location, also teased the prospect of future collaboration with fashionista and photographer Helena Christensen with the caption:
“Working on something special with my friend @helenachristensen ? You are incredible. Stay tuned - exciting things to share soon.”
Understandably, the idea of two such significant fashion figures working together has made fans extremely excited. One commentator wrote:
“Omg timeless beauty and talent… so glad I’ve had the good fortune of following your career since I was a young man in the 80s… all the best from NorCal!”

The recent Instagram furor isn’t the only time Shields has made recent headlines. Back in May, she revealed how she had taken lockdown as an opportunity to get serious about personal fitness, describing her routine during an extensive interview with InStyle. As she explained:
“I’ve never been called a fitness enthusiast, but being in it with people has been the piece of social media that I’ve really appreciated. It’s helped me feel a healthy responsibility to keep it up. I recommend planning on a time of day to exercise. It can bring a sense of control.

“People my age can get crossed off at a certain point—like you’ve had a good run, you’ve had your kids, you’ve had your career, you’re done. Meanwhile, in my 50s, I feel physically better than ever. We can really inspire each other right now to do something within our power to feel better. We’re all here to offer support—and I’m not going anywhere.”
No wonder her Instagram continues to cause such a stir!
