Bruce Willis appeared to be in good spirits recently as he posed for photos with his daughter Tallulah, following his shock Aphasia diagnosis almost one year ago.
The veteran actor, 67, had been diagnosed with the brain disorder in March, 2022. The condition affects the part of the brain that controls language expression and comprehension, and it causes sufferers to have difficulty communicating effectively with others.
At the time of his diagnosis, Willis' ex-wife Demi Moore - to whom he was married between 1987 - 2000 - and his current wife Emma Heming took to Instagram to release a statement on his condition. Part of the caption read:
"As a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities."
The family's statement continued: "As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.
"This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that."
In November, Willis' close friend Sylvester Stallone, 76, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the Die Hard actor's condition, telling the outlet: "Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times. So he's been sort of incommunicado. That kills me. It's so sad."
Larry Gordon - producer of the Die Hard movies - also expressed his sadness at hearing about Willis' diagnosis, stating: "I'm very saddened by this news. Bruce is a good friend and was fantastic to work with on Die Hard 1 and 2. They couldn't be harder films for an actor to make and survive. He is the consummate pro and a gutsy guy."
Lately, Willis was pictured on Instagram with his daughter Tallulah - one of the three daughters he welcomed during his marriage to Moore. Tallulah, 28, wore a pair of gray, wide-legged tousers and floral blouse and she posed playfully with her father, who looked like the typical dad in a simple white tee and gray joggers with trainers.
"High drama club ~~ life skills ~~ fingers crossed I eat a veggie this week LMAO," the actress captioned the set of images.
Elsewhere in the post, Tallulah revealed that she was reading Alcoholics Anonymous, which prompted many of her Instagram followers to share their support and urge the young star to keep reading the "Big Book".
The Daily Mail detailed that Willis - who has two more daughters with his current wife Emma - spent the recent Christmas holidays with his blended family in Idaho, as he does each year.
