Bruce Willis has kicked off the holidays with a sweet family photo of his five children with his current wife Emma Heming and ex Demi Moore.

Earlier this year, the 67-year-old Die Hard actor's family announced that he was "stepping away" from Hollywood after being diagnosed with aphasia - a brain condition that impacts communication.

In a shared statement on Instagram, Bruce's family wrote at the time: "This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him."

The retired actor has since been seen surrounded by the love of his blended family in a new photo shared by his close friend and ex-wife Demi Moore on Instagram.

Check out the photo below:

"We are FAMILY!! Getting into the holiday spirit!", the 60-year-old actress captioned the group shot, which shows Bruce posing with Demi and their three daughters - Tallulah, 28, Scout, 31, and Rumer, 34 - as well as wife Emma Heming Willis and their two girls - eight-year-old Evelyn Penn and Mabel Ray, 10.

In the heartwarming festive snap, the massive family posed in front of a garland-wrapped staircase, with a Christmas tree just behind them, as the Armageddon star holds Tallulah's dog, Pilaf.

Other sweet photographs included the actor and his 44-year-old wife holding hands at the dinner table, as well as him posing with his daughter's furry buddy.

The pictures appear to be from earlier this month when the brood gathered together in celebration of the holiday season. Last week, Tallulah shared a photo on Instagram of herself, Pilaf, and Demi snuggling up to each other, while Bruce and the dog locked eyes.

"The laser beam communication between Pilaf and Papa is stunning," she wrote in the caption of the photo of the three family members together. "I love my parents and my family - I do I do I do!" she added.

The family revealed back in March that Bruce was living with a brain condition that affects the ability to speak and understand language.

The renowned actor has three more action thrillers to be released, which he shot last year before going public with his diagnosis and retiring from acting.

Over the past few months, his condition has reportedly slowly deteriorated, with a source close to the family telling RadarOnline: "Demi has been in constant contact with Bruce and Emma.

"She's taking every opportunity she can to spend time with him. If she's not there by his side, she's calling on the phone just so Bruce can hear her voice. They know he won't be around forever. So they're cherishing every single moment," the source added.

In addition to this, fellow actor and friend, Sylvester Stallone, spoke about Bruce's condition last month and said: "Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times. So he's been sort of incommunicado. That kills me. It's so sad."
