Candace Cameron Bure has unfollowed both JoJo Siwa and Jodie Sweetin amid the scandal involving the 46-year-old's "traditional marriage" comments.
During an interview with The Wall Street Journal earlier this month, Cameron Bure explained how she broke off her partnership with Hallmark Media due to its decision to feature same-sex couples in their movies. Instead, she turned to work with Great American Family (GAF), which is known for its conservative values.
When asked if GAF would be looking to feature any same-sex couples in their work, she responded by saying no and added that, as Chief Creative Officer of the network, she intends to "keep traditional marriage at the core" of all her future projects.
Of course, this didn't sit well with people and immediately sparked intense criticism online, with two of her most vocal critics being Dance Moms star Siwa and Cameron Bure's former Fuller House co-star Sweetin.
On November 15, the 19-year-old dancer slammed Cameron Bure as "rude" and "disrespectful" via a post on Instagram, and in doing so, she gained the support of actress Sweetin.
Sweetin took to the comment section to write: "You know I love you," with red hearts to highlight her support for the star's statement.
A week later, Siwa also told PEOPLE that she doesn't plan on speaking to Cameron Bure ever again and it seems as though the feeling is mutual on the other end as the 46-year-old has now unfollowed both Siwa and Sweetin on Instagram.
Sweetin and Cameron Bure were known to be close after reprising their roles for Netflix's Full House spin-off and while Cameron Bure has unfollowed her, Sweetin still follows her on-screen sister.
The news comes following the release of the Christmas Detour star's statement addressing the controversial comments, in which she told her 5.6 million IG fans that "it absolutely breaks [her] heart that anyone would ever think [she] intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone."
She also added that she "had also expressed in my interview, which was not included, that people of all ethnicities and identities have and will continue to contribute to the network in great ways both in front of and behind the camera, which I encourage and fully support."
"And in the sole motivation of pure love, I hope you'll join me in sharing God's hope for all the world this Christmas season," the actress concluded.
