50 Cent has clapped back after fat-shaming trolls mocked his appearance at the Super Bowl 2022.

The rapper, 46, made an unexpected appearance at the halftime show on Sunday, February 13. The performance saw him recreate his upside-down stunt from the music video of his song 'In Da Club'.

The 'Window Shopper' hitmaker, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, joined Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige, and Kendrick Lamar on stage and treated the audience to a spectacular performance.

But following his performance, 50 Cent was mocked online, with trolls drawing attention to his weight.

"Went from 50 Cent to 50 percent body fat," one hater wrote.

"50 Cent out here looking like a FAT BAT," another tweeted.

"You know 50 Cent done got fat because he kept pulling his shirt down. Only fat people do that," a third penned.

"50 Cent got fat now he a dollar," a fourth added.

"Legit thought it was a fat 50 Cent impersonator," a fifth shared.

However, on Thursday, February 17, the performer responded to his keyboard warriors on Instagram as he reminded them that fat-shaming doesn't "apply" to him.

Taking to social media to share screengrabs of a New York Post article about the fat-shamers, he wrote: "I call this teasing me, they’re just teasing me because they know I can drop the weight. That’s why I laugh with them. Fat shaming only applies when your [sic] ashamed of your fat. LOL."

Needless to say, his fans are fighting his corner, with many telling their idol to ignore the critics.

For example, one said: "Ignore the haters. I thought you look great! You will always be a legend to me!"

Another tweeted: "I know we all wanna haha on 50 Cent Bc he’s a bigger guy now but that man walked up, pulled himself upside down like we used to on the monkey bars and held his weight up until it was time to start rappin.. my goodness."

A number of memes have come about since the event, with 50 Cent compared to the following: Spider-Man, Batman, Luke Skywalker, and Homer Simpson.
