When the coronavirus pandemic first started to impact our day-to-day lives back in March, Gal Gadot led a group of celebrities in a tone-deaf rendition of John Lennon's 'Imagine'.
In what I'm sure was a video intended to put smiles on people's faces during an incredibly trying time came across more like a lost audition tape for the Cats movie.
Relive that awful video below:Something about a group of rich celebrities singing from their mansions while the rest of the world struggled just didn't connect.
And, they're at it again...
Now, a host of celebrities - including Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, Kesha, Justin Theroux, Debra Messing, Bryce Dallas Howard, and more - have appeared in a video condemning racism and acknowledging white privilege.
However, despite the message within the video being crucial during these difficult times - and it truly is - sadly, it is being overlooked by the fact that people on social media believe these actors are... acting.
Check out the video below:Per Fox News, the 'I Take Responsibility' campaign aimed to show high-profile white celebrities taking "responsibility for turning the racist tide in America," denouncing police brutality, and committing to learning more "about issues facing the black community".
However, the response was far from kind on Twitter:
But is was Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul who caught most of the backlash, with many accusing the actor of simply transitioning back into his role of Jesse Pinkman from the hit TV series.
Other people even shared their own "auditions" for the campaign:
The campaign's official website shares links on how people can donate to several memorial funds and racial justice organizations in the United States such as Reclaim the Block, Campaign Zero, NAACP, Color of Change, and more.
However, this Twitter user has perhaps the best response to all of these celebs wanting to make a change:
