Aussie TV star Abbie Chatfield found herself at the center of a debate on decency after a recent night out.

The FBoy Island host and ex-Bachelor contestant took to Instagram this week to air her grievances after an alleged encounter with a table of "boomers" who vocally disapproved of her dinner outfit.

Chatfield, a 28-year-old popular TV personality, shared a video on her Instagram where she confidently showcased the low-cut top she wore to dinner.

Directing her message to the judgmental diners, she stated: "To the table of boomers loudly next to me b**ching about me saying they would be 'ashamed if their daughter wore that top out.'"

She didn't stop there, also penning a fiery caption that read: "Sorry you have nothing left to talk about in ur [sic] crusty relationships."

Chatfield continued with a sentiment echoed by many young people navigating the perils of social judgment: "ur [sic] kids probably would be the ones ashamed if they heard what you were saying!!! Me wearing a hot top doesn’t compare to you spending your night focusing on my tits and making it the main topic of conversation."

In a follow-up Instagram story, Chatfield revealed more about the incident, naming "John" as the primary critic from the boomer table. But she and her friends weren't ones to let it slide, responding in kind.

The controversy sparked a wide range of support in Chatfield's comments section, with one fan writing: "Thanks for being so positive about this. My 14 yr daughter got screamed at by a woman for wearing her bikini up to the shops at the beach - meanwhile boys with no shirts on. I hate the hypocrisy."

A second supporter wrote: "Babe if I looked as fine as you, I'd be wearing that outfit to my weekly grocery shop."

And a third commenter typed: "I also feel like people would respond differently if someone with a flatter/smaller chest wore this. Even though you literally have no control of this! These people must have a pretty easy life if they’re so offended by this."

However, there were some Instagram users who continued to question Chatfield over her outfit choice, with one person writing: "You look amazing but can I be completely honest and say I wouldn’t want to be having dinner out with someone dressed like that and I’m not a boomer."

And a second critic added: "There is a time and place for certain attire. You look great in that outfit but it’s not always appropriate."

But the overall consensus in the comments section is that women should be able to wear whatever they like and not be judged or bothered by others - especially over something as trivial as just enjoying a meal out. Additionally, many agreed that she looked amazing -- so embrace that self-expression!
