A man's incredible impression of the late Robin Williams has left fans calling for him to be cast in a biopic about the actor.
The footage was uploaded to social media on October 11, and shows actor and filmmaker Jamie Costa portraying Williams back in 1982 - when Williams was cementing himself as a household name in the sitcom Mork & Mindy.
In the scene, Williams is preparing in his dressing room, when co-star Pam Dawber (played in the scene by Sarah Murphree), comes in to tell him that comedian and close friend John Belushi has died.
Check out the spot-on impersonation below:Costa's original video on Youtube has already amassed over 3 million views in a couple of days, and the footage has received millions more on other social media platforms. Additionally, the remarkable and uncanny performance has also led to people calling for Costa to be cast in a biopic of the late Mrs Doubtfire star.
One person on Twitter wrote: "I don't often get goosebumps from something truly uncanny, but this is quite magical footage - even when he just says 'no' with sadness, the resemblance is remarkable. If a biopic does get made with Jamie Costa as Robin Williams, get a great script & director to do it justice?"
One YouTuber commented: "This is a FANTASTIC impression of Robin Williams. If there is ever a biopic, they better cast you."
And a third tweeted: "I am at a loss of words of how extraordinary this is.
"Jamie Costa encapsulates the essence of Robin Williams so perfectly that this 'fan footage' for a proposed biopic is a clear sign this truly needs to happen."
Costa is a 30-year-old actor from South Carolina, who has gained a following thanks to his appearances in scenes of Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020), Robot Riot (2020), and even a fanmade Star Wars movie called Kenobi: A Star Wars Story (2019).
That's right, long before Disney gives us the Kenobi series we've all been asking for, Costa did it first. And something tells me he's about to do it again with this now-highly-anticipated Robin Williams biopic.
