Adam Driver, known for his roles in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Marriage Story, made a bold statement at Poland’s Camerimage Film Festival during a Q&A session for his upcoming film Ferrari.
After watching a special screening, an audience member questioned Driver about the film's crash scenes, labeling them as "harsh, drastic, and... cheesy."
Driver’s response was as direct as it gets. "F*** you. I don’t know? Next question," he told the man.
This blunt response, filled with nonchalance and profanity, left the audience in a state of mixed reactions, ranging from gasps to tense laughter.
Driver, a Marine Corps veteran turned actor, was at the festival to receive the Special EnergaCAMERIMAGE Award for an Actor and to introduce Ferrari in the Camerimage Main Competition.
In Ferrari, directed by Michael Mann, Driver plays the legendary Italian race car driver and entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari. The biographical drama is set in the summer of 1957, a challenging time for Ferrari as his company neared bankruptcy.
The plot weaves Enzo's personal struggles, including the death of his son, with his professional challenges as he competes in the Mille Miglia, a notorious open-road race spanning 1,000 miles across Italy.

Driver’s transformation into the 59-year-old Enzo Ferrari was an impressive one. It featured him with slicked-back gray hair and sunglasses. The film, scripted by Troy Kennedy Martin, is based on Brock Yates’ 1991 biography Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races, the Machine.
The star-studded cast also includes Penélope Cruz, Patrick Dempsey, Gabriel Leone, Sarah Gordon, and Jack O’Connell.
The film has already made waves in the cinematic world, having debuted at the Venice International Film Festival in August, where it received a six-minute standing ovation.
Driver’s portrayal of Enzo has been particularly praised, with Italian film producer Andrea Iervolino comparing the film to a James Bond movie and commending Driver’s performance.
Driver’s candid reaction at the Camerimage Film Festival has sparked a conversation on social media, with many praising his straightforwardness.
One person commented: "Proper response to a question that is incredibly rude and also isn’t even really a question. It was really just a statement."
Another added: "Seems like a off the wall question. His job is acting, not CGI."
Knives Out director Rian Johnson, Barstool Sports podcaster Robbie Fox, and Youtuber Kyle Katarn are among those who have lauded Driver's response, with some even calling for the normalization of such candidness in response
