Angela White has spoken out about the one regret she has about her illustrious career in the adult entertainment industry.

The Australian adult film actress has had a decorated career in the industry, winning multiple awards and even being dubbed "the Meryl Streep of p*rn" by The Daily Beast.

Having studied at Australia's prestigious Melbourne University, White has also researched women's experiences while making adult movies.

In fact, the thesis she penned for her first-class honors degree focused on the radical potential of pleasure in the adult entertainment industry.

Reflecting on her career in an interview with News.com.au, she revealed that she began researching the industry at 14, driven by a desire to explore her sexuality.

However, she acknowledges that there is one aspect of her early career she would change.

"When I developed, I was highly sexual and excited to explore my sexuality," White shared.

"But I did so in an environment [where I was] sl*t shamed for expressing and exploring my sexuality – no matter how I did it.

"If I slept with men I was a sl*t, and if I slept with women I was a lesbian, which I was labeled in a derogatory way. I felt very ostracised for something that was core to who I am."

After spending years researching the business before entering it herself, White now regrets not taking the time to explain her decision to her family and friends.

"I think I was just excited and so adamant this is what I wanted to do with my life that I just told people it's what I was doing. There was no moment for comments, questions, or concerns," she admitted.

In hindsight, White wishes she had taken more time to communicate with her loved ones, especially her mother. Her mother’s initial reaction was one of concern, particularly as there were fewer resources about the industry at the time.

Despite the challenges, White attributes her success to her passion for her work. She also has a significant presence on OnlyFans, where subscribers can make direct requests.

According to White, these requests are typically "normal" and often "wholesome."

"Fans will come up to me at conventions and offer to massage my feet. And I actually love that because I've been on my feet in heels all day," she said.

White has also observed a growing number of women subscribing to her content on OnlyFans.

"I create specific content for women on my OnlyFans and they pay for it. And women are my biggest tippers. I think women are looking for a diverse range of things just like men are," she noted.
