Alicia Silverstone has bared it all for a new campaign with PETA.

On Tuesday (December 20), the 46-year-old Clueless star stripped down for a new People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) advertisement.

The campaign shows the actress striking a Birth of Venus-style pose in a cactus-filled desert, wearing nothing but a pair of faux leather boots.

"Don’t be a prick," the slogan for the campaign - which was shot by photographer Brian Bowen Smith - reads. "Wear vegan."

In a behind-the-scenes video released to accompany the ad, Silverstone emphasized the importance of advocating for animals, saying: "If it takes me getting naked for you to care about animals, then that is what I’m after."

The Crush actress went vegan in 1999 and has emerged as a persistent promoter of adapting to a plant-based lifestyle. She noted to viewers that she has never appeared nude in her Hollywood career - until her PETA ads.

Check out Silverstone's campaign below:

"I never, ever get naked. In TV, in film, nothing, nope. But I’ve done it for PETA because that’s how much it matters to me," Silverstone said.

After seeing her nude campaign, many users took to social media platforms to dub Silverstone a "goddess" and praise her for her advocacy.

On Twitter, one user tagged the actress and exclaimed: "WHAT A BEAUTIFUL STUNNING GODDESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Another user took to Instagram to share their compliments, writing: "What a queen."

In her video interview, Silverstone went on to clarify that even though people may believe "that leather is somehow better for the earth," that's not actually the case.

"There’s this idea that leather is somehow better for the earth," she said. "But what they don’t realize is the amount of resources, water, food, oil for transport, the amount of energy that goes into making leather is extraordinary. It’s just not sustainable. The earth can’t handle it."

The Senior Year star then urged people to buy plant-based leathers - such as those made from mushrooms and pineapples. In a sentiment that would be embraced by her Clueless character, Silverstone is optimistic that the products will one day be adopted by fashion brands.

"My dream is to get these earth-friendly, vegan materials into the hands of the greatest designers," she said. "I really like the merge of being conscious of no animal skin and being conscious of the earth because we all have to live in it, the animals and us. And without it, we're screwed."

This is not the first time Silverstone has stripped for the organization. In 2020, she went nude for PETA's "first-ever naked vegan testimonial public service announcement" - and shared a message explaining that while she "wasn’t always a vegan," she's "always loved animals".

Furthermore, she posed nude for another ad in 2016 and said in a video interview that she'd "rather go naked than wear wool".

"[I]t’s just so fast, the shearing process," she said. "[The sheep are] cut. They're harmed. They get very seriously wounded, and there’s no care for them when they’re wounded. It’s just, 'Move on to the next.'"
