Alyssa Milano has slammed critics after sparking outrage when she started a fundraising page for her son's baseball trip.

This week, the 51-year-old Charmed actress and her husband, David Bugliari, started a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of their son's 12U baseball squad, Birds 12U.

The couple stated that it was a "travel fund" that would help the team reach the Cooperstown destination for a major baseball tournament, as well as cover their additional expenses such as uniforms and family dues.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Milano penned: "My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip. Any amount would be so greatly appreciated. You can read more about the team and make a donation here," providing a link to the page with a $10,000 fundraising goal.

As of the time of writing, $8,771 has been raised of the $10,000 target.

Despite the money reportedly benefiting the entire team, many users on the social media platform questioned why the actress - who is presumed to be financially well-off - is crowdfunding, when she could pay out of her own pocket.

"Imagine being so out of touch that you ask your followers to contribute money to your child’s trip when you have a net worth of 10 million dollars. This is gross. Pay for it your own damn self," one user slammed.

Another questioned: "When did #GoFundMe become a way for millionaire celebrities to fund their kids baseball trips?" while a third criticized: "Erm Alyssa, honey. You're a millionaires. And I'm sure your son isn't playing in a team based in the projects."

A fourth added: "I’m trying not to be salty but Alyssa Milano asking for donations for her son’s baseball team while I’m trying to refill all my life-saving meds before the end of this month due to tech layoffs is sending me."

Upon seeing all the backlash on the platform, the Who's The Boss star defended herself by claiming that she's already contributed heavily to her son's team, whether it be birthday parties, uniforms, or sponsorships.

"I’m getting media inquiries about whether I have financially contributed to my son’s baseball team," she said. "I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties, and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues."

The Commando star added that "the kids also do fundraising themselves" in the form of "car washes, movie nights, and many other fun things!" before expressing gratitude to those "who have contributed to the gofundme," noting that they’ve "made things easier for these boys and their families".

A few supporters praised her under the post, with fan penning: "Thank you for helping give these boys an opportunity to play baseball. As a former college baseball coach and athletic director, I respect people who give so much of their time, treasures, and talents for the kids. Everyone has something they can contribute."

A second applauded: "It’s unreal, right away, just because you’re an actress, people think you have to fund the entire thing. There’s not a damn thing wrong with your doing this. It’s a great example for the kids to see you as Alyssa the Mom, not Alyssa the actress. This world is overrun with/Karens!"

Someone else added: "You tell them, sister! You’d pay for everything if you could! I personally feel privileged and honored to give to this noble cause. I can’t believe others don’t feel the same."
