As the pandemic continues to sweep across the nation, it has become commonplace to see people wearing facemasks out in public.
In fact, in some stores and supermarkets it has become policy that all staff and customers must wear a face mask.

They add that: "Cloth face coverings may slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others."
However, some people's attempts at simply wearing a face mask have been widely criticized.
Such as this woman, who cut a hole in hers to make it "easier to breathe":Another person who has come under fire for her face mask is actress Alyssa Milano.
The 47-year-old Who's the Boss? star recently took to Twitter to share a picture of herself and her family wearing their face masks. She captioned the image: "Show me your masks! Masks keep people safe and healthy. Show me yours! Ready? Go! #WearAMask"
However, many of Milano's 3.7 million followers were quick to mock the star's crocheted face mask with a variety of comments and memes:
One Twitter user wrote: "Why don't you explain how that mask is going to keep anyone 'safe and healthy' and not just for show when we can actually see the holes in the knitting."
Others used visual representations to mock the actress:
However, Milano wasn't going to let her critics get her down, and followed up her post with another tweet, slamming the trolls and branding them "a**holes". She wrote: "Assholes, mask has a carbon filter in it. So, yes, it might be crochet but totally safe. #WearAMask"
Milano also provided a screenshot of the filters she is using in her face mask.
