Amber Heard has become a mom for the first time - five years after her highly publicized split from Johnny Depp.
The 35-year-old Aquaman star, who kept her now-three-month-old daughter's arrival under wraps, is believed to have welcomed the infant via surrogate, Page Six reports.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday (July 1), Heard shared the news with her 3.9 million followers - alongside a sweet snap of her cradling the newborn, whose name is Oonagh Paige Heard.
She wrote: "I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way.
"I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this.
"My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life."
A number of people - celebrities and fans alike - have since taken to the comments to congratulate the new mom.

Four Weddings And A Funeral star Andie MacDowell wrote: "Congratulations It’s absolutely the best part of life"
A fan added: "You are an inspiration. A marvel and born to be a mother!"
A third person wrote: "She’s so beautiful, just like her mama. So very happy for you both. Sending much love your way!"
Heard had previously been married to Johnny Depp, 58, from 2015 until 2017. Their acrimonious divorce made headlines around the world, with Depp being accused of domestic abuse and the Pirates Of The Caribbean star, in turn, accusing his ex-wife of abuse.

In March, Depp lost a bid to overturn a High Court ruling which stated that he assaulted Heard and left her in "fear for her life", ITV reports.
He also launched a libel claim against the publisher of The Sun newspaper, which was dismissed after a three-week trial last July. The April 2018 column branding Depp a "wife-beater" was deemed "substantially true", per BBC News.
