Amy Schumer has apologized to Hilaria Baldwin after using one of her underwear pictures as a personal Christmas card on social media.
According to a recent report by The Today Show, it all began earlier this week when 36-year-old Hilaria took to her official Instagram account to share a postpartum picture she'd taken of her three-month-old son Eduardo with her 841,000 followers.

However, in an amusing practical joke, Amy shared the Instagram post with her 10.3 million social media followers, pretending that the picture of the wife of Alec Baldwin was actually Amy herself holding her own baby boy Gene.
Although most people got the joke and saw the funny side, some people took the opportunity to body shame Schumer by appearing to compare her physical stature and appearance with Baldwins - something which Baldwin herself took issue with.
Hilaria addressed the incident in the following Instagram video:

In a lengthy caption addressing the storm in the social media teacup, Hilaria wrote to her followers:
"After many people reached out to me, I decided to respond to the whole photo with Edu being made into a joke thing. Love a good joke-don’t think this should have been such a big deal.[sic]"
"I’m still 50/50 on whether I should respond, butas we see, I decided to. I’m an advocate for body positivity and inclusivity...which, let’s all remember, includes everyone. Xoxo, a very tired and cold mother [sic]
"ps... I love that it uploaded and skipped at the end ... 2020! Just wanted to let you know that your phone isn’t broken. And I feel like it’s too late to take down and repost. [sic]

In the video itself, Baldwin railed against any of her fans judging Amy or any other moms, stating: "Now, does it hurt my feelings if some people out there, who I don't even know, are critiquing why I might post a photo? And if I had looked differently, would I have posted that photo? I sure hope so."
"Because I love looking at photos, supporting our bodies, our temple that we live in 24/7. I love it. It doesn’t matter what you look like. I love it. If you’re honoring yourself and celebrating yourself, I love it."
A number of Hilaria's Instagram fans swiftly took to the comments of her candid video (which currently boasts over 335,000 views as of the time of writing) to thank the yoga instructor for dealing with a sensitive topic in such a mature and thoughtful way.
For instance, one Instagram user wrote: "You’re killing the mom game and you look amazing. Inspired by you! [sic]"
Meanwhile, someone else added: "ITS A WOMAN WITH A BABY!!!! End of story! Every comment around this on that post objectifies us and separates us from our essence even more. You’re a woman, with a baby. I love you. [sic]"
In a later screenshot shared with her Instagram followers, Hilaria showed that Amy had apologized for any unintentional offense caused and deleted her own post.
Replying to her apology, Baldwin stated: "Girl, don’t even apologize! You always make me laugh. My only intentions were to address some of the not so namaste behavior some people went running wild with after. You don’t need to take responsibility for their actions."
