Ariana Grande has left fans stunned after they noticed her using her "real" voice during a recent interview.

The singer, 30, is best known for her flawless vocals, as well as her high-pitched, soft, speaking voice.

However, fans were blown away after hearing her switch between that and a completely different-sounding voice during her recent appearance on Penn Badgley's Podcrushed podcast.

Watch the moment below:

In the clip, which dropped on Monday (June 17) the 'thank u, next' singer joked that she felt "like Austin Powers being unfrozen" after she'd spent the past 10 days "literally living" in the recording studio.

She told the host: "That's the only thing I thought of, that's how I felt. I was like 'What has happened?' Yeah, I don't know," in a much deeper voice than people are used to hearing from her.

However, she then appeared to switch back to the softer, high-pitched voice that people know her for mid-sentence as she discussed releasing more songs for her Eternal Sunshine album which was released in March.

She explained: "Yeah, I've been writing a lot. Maybe there's some more. I would like to do a deluxe version at some point."

Fans were floored by the mid-sentence change in her voice, tweeting: "this voice change is sending me, regular Ariana was coming out for a second."

Others added: "ariana grande is mad scary bc why did she do a voice change like it was nothing in the middle of that interview?????????"

However, others pointed out that Ariana's voice change is nothing new, adding: "arianas voice is naturally full and raspy and no these arent random clips i had to dig for this is literally what she sounds like when she talks. she sounds higher pitched when shes uncomfortable or trying to preserve her voice which was alot of the time in 2017-2019."

Another added: "This “voice switching” is not new. She is a vocalist, caught herself not speaking healthily for her vocal cords, and adjusted. That is it."

Ariana is not the only star whose 'real' voice has floored fans in the past, as Paris Hilton's natural speaking voice left fans baffled, too.

The socialite and businesswoman is best known for her 'baby' voice from shows including The Simple Life, but actually has a deeper and more husky voice when she is not on camera.

She revealed during an appearance on UK talk show The One Show that she created the "character" akin to a "Barbie Doll" to protect herself.

Paris explained: "I think it was after what I went through, it was a trauma response. I created this character, a Barbie Doll fantasy life so I didn't have to think about what I'd went through. And then I got The Simple Life and then I had to continue playing that character season after season.

"I almost got stuck in it because I got so used to doing it. And I'm a naturally shy person so it was sort of a mask to just be able to deal with all of the pressures.

"It was really difficult the way the media were so vicious with us. We were under a magnifying glass with the media constantly stalking us, making up stories, it was just very difficult to deal with. You definitely need a tough skin."
