It seems like a lot of celebrities are ditching their darker hair colors for a much brighter look this summer.
We have already seen model Emily Ratajakowski - spokesmodel for luxury French hair care line Kérastase - ditch her brunette for an eye-catching blonde style.

In a press statement, the model said: "I'm absolutely thrilled that Kérastase gave me their blessing to become a blonde. I just celebrated my birthday and am so happy to be coming out of quarantine with a fresh new look.
And then Kylie Jenner showed off her lighter locks with her 183 million followers back in June:

And even 16-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown got in on the action, captioning snaps of her newly dyed hair on Instagram "straight or curlyyyy" to her 23 million followers:

But perhaps the most drastic change has occurred, as 22-year-old actress Ariel Winter has ditched her iconic black tresses in favor of a platinum blonde look that is perfect for summer.
The Modern Family star shared not one but SIX snaps of her new lighter locks with her 4.4 million Instagram followers.
And clearly aware that her blonde bob resembled that of Emilia Clarke's Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen, Ariel captioned her post: "Winter is coming" - a repeated phrase throughout the show.

In a matter of hours, the jaw-dropping post has amassed over 292,000 likes and over 2,000 comments from her adoring fans.
In fact, Ariel's boyfriend, actor Luke Benward, definitely agreed with the GoT vibe, as he simply commented on the post: "Targaryen".
However, Winter's other fans felt like she resembled Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.
One Instagram user with the handle miriam.davaloss commented: "Marilyn Monroe vibes", which was echoed by user mclean6742, who typed: "Oh hello there Miss Marilyn Monroe".
This is not the first time the actress has wowed fans with a brand new look. Last year, Winter debuted a new red hair color, which just made us think of Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

In fact, in an interview with Allure in 2019, Winter explained that she has always wanted to try going platinum white, but at the time was content with her new strawberry blonde look. She said:
"I’ve never dyed my hair platinum-white yet. Dyeing it this color was something I was really excited to do. At first, I was nervous. But the day after I dyed it, I felt like a different person. I walked past my bathroom mirror and was like, ‘Oh my god! Who’s in my bathroom?’ And it was literally me. But I love it. It’s my favorite style I’ve done so far."
