Barack Obama has urged people to take UFO sightings "seriously" as he gave his two cents on alien life.

The former POTUS made the revelation during an appearance on James Corden's Late Late Show on Monday, May 17.

Reggie Watts, the show's bandleader, asked Obama what he thought about UFOs, and he went on to give a surprisingly honest answer.

"The truth is that when I came into office, I asked. I was like, 'Is there a lab somewhere where we're keeping the alien specimens and space ships?' They did a little bit of research and the answer is no."

Listen to Obama give his two cents on aliens below:

Obama went on: "What is true - and I'm actually being serious here - is that there's footage and records of objects in the sky that we don’t know exactly what they are.

"We can't explain how they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. I think people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is. But I have nothing to report to you today."

Obama then joked that Watts, who brought up the subject of  "them aliens," could "secretly be an alien".

"When he asks all these questions, he's deflecting," he joked, asking, "Do we know what he looks like behind those glasses?"

He then went on to open up about what his life like is life now that he's no longer president. Obama said life is "pretty darn good" now he has "less stress, less burden" and is no longer in office.

"I get a lot more time with Michelle," he said, adding that they had the "blessing" of being able to spend time in lockdown with their two daughters.

"Michelle thinks I’m a little cuter now, a little sexier," he laughed.

His comments on aliens come after US fighter pilots claimed to have seen an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) off the coast of Virginia "every day" over a two-year period, per Metro.

Unclassified reports on UFOs are also set to be presented to Congress next month.
