Drake has Barack Obama's blessing to portray the former US president in a movie.

Obama's comments have resurfaced after he made the revelation during an interview with Complex News on an episode of 360 With Speedy Morman last year.

The ex-POTUS described the musician as "talented" and said he "seems to be able to do anything he wants", which is why he's totally in favor of the prospect of the 34-year-old portraying him in a movie.

Per Rolling Stone, Drake previously said of the prospect of an Obama movie: "I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him."

And speaking about that very same prospect, Obama said: "You know what, Drake has - more importantly, I think - my household's stamp of approval. I suspect Malia and Sasha would be just fine with it."

If an Obama movie comes to pass, it may mention how the former president asked where the aliens were when he took up office in 2008.

He revealed that this was one of his questions during an appearance on James Corden's Late Late Show on Monday, May 17.

When asked what he thought of the existence of extraterrestrial life, Obama said: "The truth is that when I came into office, I asked. I was like, 'Is there a lab somewhere where we're keeping the alien specimens and space ships?' They did a little bit of research and the answer is no."

Listen to Obama give his two cents on aliens below:

Obama went on: "What is true - and I'm actually being serious here - is that there's footage and records of objects in the sky that we don’t know exactly what they are.

"We can't explain how they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. I think people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is. But I have nothing to report to you today."

In the same interview, Obama opened up about what his life is like now that he's left office, explaining that it's "pretty darn good" now he has "less stress, less burden".

"I get a lot more time with Michelle," he said, adding that they had the "blessing" of being able to spend time in lockdown with their two daughters.

"Michelle thinks I'm a little cuter now, a little sexier," he laughed.
