With the COVID-19 pandemic devastating countries, more and more of us are being encouraged (or legally forced) to practice social distancing.

However, with many people still choosing to ignore the advice from governments and medical experts, supermodel Bella Hadid has taken to Instagram to post a few important, albeit bizarre, reminders.

In her most recent video post, Hadid shared a clip of her dancing - but while encouraging her fans to go follow her on TikTok, she added: "Also, don’t forget to wash your hands [...] As individuals, we are capable of so many things, especially working together to change the world! Let’s do our part and stay inside."

Hadid also shared a topless snap of herself while covering her chest with a burrito, accompanied with an important message on social distancing. Writing to her 29 million followers, the 23-year-old supermodel said:

"Me and my burrito telling you to stay inside! not only for the sake of just yourself but also for literally the entire world and all of the people that you love.

"Its crazy because all we have to do is work together to slow down this virus and people are still having trouble understanding that.. don’t be selfish! meditate ! hang out with your dog/cat/fish! they are probably super excited to have your attention for 24 hours out of the day..!! learn how to knit ! tie die some socks ! write a poem to your mom ! I guess tiktok if that’s what you’re into ! find out your rising sign ! then learn about it ! and become ! a better person!

"anyways ... last thing ...not new news but... wash those damn hands people! to the people who are still working and the ones who can’t ... I love you and i am thinking about you ! [sic]"

Per the World Health Organization (WHO) people should maintain social distancing by keeping "at least 1 meter (3 feet)" between yourself and "anyone who is coughing or sneezing".

The reason behind this is because "when someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease."

However, different countries are now posting different advice regarding social distancing.

For example, the UK government writes on their official website that people should; "avoid contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) - including a high temperature and/or new and continuous cough; avoid non-essential use of public transport when possible; work from home, where possible; avoid large and small gatherings in public spaces; Avoid gatherings with friends and family. Keep in touch using remote technology such as phone, internet, and social media"; and to "use telephone or online services to contact your GP or other essential services."

We encourage all of our readers to research and practice all social distancing advice being provided by their governments and the WHO.
